🏊 SF Family Swim — Spring 2026 Schedule
Where kids can swim in SF and the northern Peninsula — drop-in family, open, or recreation sessions plus pools with dedicated kid-friendly or warm-water areas. Lap swim and classes excluded. Verify before you go.
🌤 Most SF pools are indoor and run year-round. Mission Pool (the city's only outdoor pool) opens for summer around mid-May. Sava Pool is closed for renovation. Northern Peninsula pools (Pacifica, Daly City, San Bruno, Burlingame, San Mateo) are included for SF families willing to drive 10–25 minutes — see the region tag on each. Orange Memorial Pool (South SF) is currently closed for repairs; San Mateo King + MLK reopen in summer. JCCSF, YMCA SF, UCSF Bakar, and SFSU Mashouf schedules can shift weekly; verify before you go.

📋 UCSF Bakar (Indoor) — long weekend Family Swim windows (Sun 9am–5:30pm, Sat 1–5:30pm) come from UCSF's published Google Calendar; real-world programs may interrupt. Family Swim runs concurrently with Lap Swim — the indoor pool is shared. Call (415) 514-4545 to verify.

Mission Pool and Sava Pool appear as cards above with current status. Both are SFRPD facilities tracked here for completeness.

⚠ Pool schedules change frequently — verify before you go
Schedules in this guide are accurate as of April 25, 2026, but pool schedules change frequently and pools may close for maintenance, weather, or staffing without notice. Always confirm by calling the pool or checking their website before heading over. Each pool card has a tappable phone number and website link.

If today's date is later than August 2026, this guide is almost certainly out of date — most outdoor pools transition to or from summer schedules in late spring and again in early fall.
